What on earth does socialisation mean anyway ?

Its not all about meeting .......

10 dogs a playing
9 push bikes peddling
8 toddlers toddling
7 Joggers jogging
6 Men with beards and high viz
5 GOLD RINGS

Socialisation is the term used to describe the careful introduction of your puppy to other animals, people, environments and objects.

Puppy socialisation as a way of learning;

they learn how to cope with new places, situations and people, they learn how to communicate with other animals and how to fit in with family life.

This isn't a case of just expecting your puppy to be happy in every situation. You need to read how your puppy is coping with this new thing, person, dog etc.

Take it gently, never force your puppy to go say hello.

Let your puppy go at their own pace.

Every new interaction should be a positive one.

Have fun learning.
