Does your dog need to be dressed head to paw in yellow ?
Wow sold out
of these on a well known pet store.
That tells me that there are certainly a lot of pet parents that feel they have to advertise that their beloved dog is anxious or nervous.
Now most people that have a dog that fits this description take huge strides to ensure that their pet is safe.
But not only their pet, but your pet too.
BUT
Why do they have to dress their dog in bright yellow?
Would not just having their dog on a lead tell you there must be a reason.?
It may be an old dog,
A dog recovering from injury.
A dog that has just had an operation.
A dog that is deaf or blind or both.
All these dogs deserve to be walked, all those pet parents deserve to be able to relax when out walking.
As does anyone that has a dog.
I know that if I am walking my dog off lead, and see another dog on lead, I would automatically put my dog back on lead.
Even the most well behaved dog in the world might not listen to that recall. After all, they are a dog not a robot.
Honestly there is room for everyone.
How many of you have heard
“ MY DOG IS FRIENDLY” as the friendly dog hurls it’s way to your dog ?
Not just other dog's though………..
What about the dog that is nervous of new people !
Then it might be……….
“All dog's like me”
“I have had dog's all my days”
“Here have a treat”
These people are really genuine lovely people that mean well, but to the pet parent that may have been working on building up their dog's confidence for months, all their work has just flown out of the window.
I bet the pet parent would love your help, by keeping your distance and asking if you can say hello.
So please if you see a dog wearing YELLOW there is a reason.
If you see a dog on a lead, there is a reason.
